Silent Auction

MAPA is proud to announce the charity for this year’s Silent Auction is Believe in Tomorrow Children's Foundation, which is an organization that believes in helping families live in comfortable housing and helping families stay together in the midst of a child's medical crisis. To donate an item to be placed in the Silent Auction please contact the Silent Auction Coordinator at SilentAuction@mdapa.org. Stop by the silent auction to bid on these items and help raise money for the Believe in Tomorrow Children's Foundation.
 
Dinner Symposium
Wednesday 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Join MAPA Wednesday evening from 7:30 pm-8:30 pm for a dinner lecture to kick off the CME conference.  The symposium will include one hour of continuing medical education.
   
Welcome Reception
Thursday 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
The Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants would like to welcome all registered conference attendees, guests and families with a Hawaiian welcome reception. Enjoy cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres on the Clarion Hotel’s outside patio bar while enjoying the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. The reception will feature a fabulous band. Come and enjoy some music while mingling with friends and networking with colleagues.
 
Social Event & Get Together

Enjoy your Ocean City visit with a night at Seacrets, the famous nightclub on the beach or a night at Fager's Island Restaurant and bar.  Come out, relax with friends and enjoy one of the best bars on the beach! Fager's Island offers a band, multiple fire pits on the bay and a great relaxing atmosphere! Seacrets offers multiple outside bars, a nightclub and a party atmosphere. Free admission wrist bands are available to all conference participants who would like to attend these fun social events.  Wristbands for registrants and guests will be available at the registration desk during all conference hours beginning on Thursday afternoon.
   
MAPA Happy Hour & Medical Challenge Bowl
Saturday 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Come and enjoy Happy Hour with hors d'oeuvres, beverages and a cash bar. Back by popular demand, Just Kidding Around Entertainment will get the part started. Then, join the fun as the teams challenge each other and the audience in the 17th annual Medical Challenge Bowl.  Each team shall consist of three physician assistants, graduates, or students.  Come and mingle with other PAs and PA students from across the state and cheer for your favorite team.  To enter a team, please send an email to challengebowl@mdapa.org.
   
5K Fun Run/Walk
Saturday 6:30 AM - 8:00 AM
MAPA is offering a 5K Fun Run/Walk to take place on the beach.  It is open to all conference participants and guests.  The fee is $20.00 per person. All proceeds to benefit the Believe in Tomorrow Children's Foundation.  The 5K will begin in front of the Clarion on the beach.  All participants will receive a Fun Run/Walk T-shirt and prizes will be awarded.  Come out and join your fellow colleagues in a challenging run on the beach. 
 
Sandcastle Building Contest
Saturday 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Come and participate with your families in a fun sandcastle building contest on the beach in front of the Clarion Hotel. This event is open to all registrants, guests and families.  Challenge each other with a fun and relaxing sandcastle building contest.  Some sand buckets and shovels will be provided.  Prizes will be awarded. See which family can build the best sandcastle!
