To whom this may concern:

Hi! My name is Kevin Woodward PA-C, MMS. I am a graduate from the Anne Arundel Community College PA program, class of 2009. Like many of my classmates and alumni, I also obtained my MMS from St. Francis University while in our program. I currently work for Johns Hopkins Orthopaedics at Suburban Hospital. My first job out of school, I will have been there 6 years this upcoming August (hard to believe). We specialize in joint replacement surgery, predominately hips and knees. We also do some trauma and arthroscopic procedures as well. Half the week we spend in the OR, the other half in clinic. During my schooling at AACC, I was very active as a student leader, serving as our class president both years. I also represented our program in SAAAPA, attending and participating as an AOR representative at national conference in both San Antonio (’08) and San Diego (’09). I led our school in our first medical challenge bowl team as well. I have always enjoyed being a part of the decision making process, and helping take part in expanding our profession. I feel I am to the point in my job where I am comfortable taking on a little more, getting back into this decision making process, and contributing.  In regards to my skills for the position, the surgeon I work with is a former Navy Seal, so needless to say, we are very organized and timely in all aspects of the practice. I do my entire note writing and billing through an electronic medical record system, so I am very familiar working on computers as well. I have worked on the board as secretary this past 2 terms and feel I can still contribute to MAPA. I hope you elect me. Thanks!
