MAPA is managed by a combination of Physician Assistants who volunteer their time and expertise as well as a paid association management staff.
MAPA has contracted with the CGL Partnership, an association management organization and services group to provide the Academy with professional member and association management services. This allows the volunteer staff time to plan and direct the organization. In addition, it improves the environment for volunteer leaders and reduces volunteer workload.
If you are interested in contributing, MAPA will help to mentor you. All of us started out with little knowledge of parliamentary procedures, organizing skills or how to go about running an Academy. You learn quickly though, and none of us have regretted our decision. To contact the Board click here.
In addition, MAPA promotes regional liaisons for the five areas of the state. If you are interested in becoming a regional liaison and would like information regarding this, contact the President, Muriel Kneib.
