The Carson Scholars Fund is in need of judges for its 2006 application review. Please share as much or as little (2 hours) of your time judging student applications. For those of you who judged in the past we welcome you back. If this is your first time we promise a rewarding and interesting experience. The mission of Carson Scholars Fund, co-founded by Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin Carson, is to recognize and reward students in grades 4-12 who are outstanding academic achievers and humanitarians, as well as encourage all students to strive for academic excellence. The program currently honors students Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, GA, Battle Creek MI, Racine, WI, Lancaster Co., PA and Seattle WA public and private schools. Students who receive the highest total scores win $1,000 scholars award invested toward their college education and will be honored at an awards banquet on April 23, 2006 at Martin's West. |
